Nikotek is the internal standard Swedish Smokeless applies to nicotine pouch production at its plant in Enköping, Sweden.

It sets measurable targets for nicotine quality, moisture, pH, flavour and freshness, so White Fox, Siberia and HIT pouches are consistent from can to can.

Pharma-grade nicotine that meets pharmaceutical standards for purity and quality, in both tobacco-derived and synthetic nicotine products.
Food-grade
Taste and aroma
Flavours from premium fruits, herbs and spices, made with food-grade ingredients for a refined experience.
30–50%
Moisture content
Moisture is set precisely between 30% and 50% for a soft pouch that sits comfortably under the lip.
pH 7–9.5
Balanced pH
Every pouch is kept within a pH range of 7 to 9.5.

The Swedish Original process

How Swedish Smokeless makes traditional snus, including our Siberia chewbags. Eight stages, from field to can.

Selection
Tobacco is hand-selected from farms Swedish Smokeless knows, after a full year of growing and monitoring. They look for the right variety, taste, low sugar and high nicotine.
Inspection
Every batch is inspected visually and chemically in the laboratory to confirm the right nicotine level.
Storage and drying
The tobacco is stored and dried at the GMP-certified plant in Enköping. In Sweden, snus production is classified as food production.
Grinding
Leaves are sorted, then cut or ground, and mixed with food-grade salt and water before fermenting.
Thermal processing
The tobacco is baked under controlled conditions for a week, with no shortcuts, to create the traditional taste.
Blending and flavours
Blends are finished with flavours using natural oils, from mint to fruits and berries.
Testing
pH, moisture, appearance and weight are tested so every batch meets its quality targets.
Packaging
Pouches are packed and sealed by machine, and every can is labelled for the country it is shipped to.
